In a distant galaxy, on the planet Ortu Ruinam, an advanced civilization of the Eclipso Lunae species has developed technology and magic into a harmonious symbiosis, using both science and powerful magical powers. A key research project was an attempt to combine the DNA code of one of the Eclipso Lunae representatives with antimatter energy obtained from reactors. It was an attempt to push the boundaries of physics and magic to create a life form with extraordinary strength and abilities.

However, the experiment, labeled “X,” seemed to fail at first. The researchers did not observe the effects that amazed them, and put the object under constant surveillance for a week. Then the changes began: DNA exposed to antimatter began to mutate, forming dangerous new structures. Finally, on the 9th day of the experiment, an energy test was conducted, which ended in disaster. Systems controlling energy suddenly stopped working. All the magic that powered the research center was extinguished, and the lab was dark and silent. The researchers, in an attempt to restore control, discovered that the test subject had transformed into a being that exceeded their wildest nightmares. Overflowing with antimatter and magic, the new life form had gained the ability to manipulate energy in a way that caused opponents to lose their magical power.

The creature began attacking the scientists, using antimatter combined with the power of Eclipso Lunae. It absorbed their energy, turning most into living corpses - inert, willless shadows of former beings. The chosen ones who managed to survive were contaminated, gradually turning into terrifying entities called Phantoms Sinistrum. The Phantoms of Sinistrum, led by the main research facility, began to wreak havoc on the planet Ortu Ruinam. The Eclipso Lunae civilization, having realized the scale of the threat, threw all its resources into fighting this plague. Half of the planet's GDP was spent on weapons and defense in an attempt to stop the unstoppable creatures.

Despite heroic efforts, after three months of incessant fighting, the government of Eclipso Lunae was forced to make a drastic decision - the complete evacuation of the planet. A massive operation was launched to relocate the inhabitants of Ortu Ruinam in search of allies and the hope of rebuilding civilization somewhere in a distant corner of space. While the survivors of the Eclipso Lunae civilization were leaving their beloved planet, the Phantoms of Sinistrum completely engulfed Ortu Ruinam, turning it into a dead, barren world. After destroying the planet, the Phantoms began to travel through space, driven by a lust to exterminate any beings that drew magical energy. Their goal became the complete annihilation of life in the universe in order to bolster their own ever-growing power.
